  • Initial Intake 90 minutes - $142

  • 60 minutes – $108.00

  • 75 minutes – $128.00

  • 90 minutes – $148.00

 

Treatments are based on a client centered care, so most treatments will include a brief interview & some form of assessment. As such, please allow up to an extra 30 minutes at the end of your designated treatment time.

Lourdes Nunes-SAMMER

Lourdes is committed to helping you achieve optimal health, wellness & balance in life and will take the time to complete a thorough assessment in order to create a treatment plan and explore treatment options that are best suited to your body, mind and spirit.


Founder of Summit Massage Therapy & Wellness in 2010 in beautiful Jasper, Alberta. In 2022, Summit’s Jasper location closed, streamlining operations to it’s Edmonton location at Le Soleil Health & Wholeness, where Lourdes has been practicing since 2018.

A graduate of MH Vicars School of Massage, Lourdes began her career in massage therapy in 2008 and has been working hard to keep her clients active and agile ever since. She specializes in therapeutic and rehabilitative massage, but is passionate about all types of massage including: Pre & Post Natal Massage, Relaxation, Cupping and Myofascial Release. She has also received training in Craniosacral Therapy (Level 1 & 2), Visceral Manipulation (Level 1), Kinesiotaping and Rapid Neurofascial Reset (Upper & Lower body).

In addition to being a Massage Therapist and a business owner, Lourdes has been an AFLCA Fitness Instructor since 1996 and has been an Instructor and Clinical Practicum Supervisor at MH Vicars School for Massage Therapy in Edmonton since 2018.

In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family and enjoys hiking, biking and running in the incredible outdoors.

Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic massage is a type of massage that uses deeper pressure and various therapeutic techniques to helps relieve tension throughout the body including in the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue or fascia.

Therapeutic massage may be recommended for:

  • Acute or chronic musculoskeletal pain & tension

  • Migraine & Tension Headaches

  • Back & neck pain

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Sciatica

  • Arthritis

  • TMJD (Temporo Mandibular Joint Disfunction)

Therapeutic massage may include modalities such as fascial stretching, joint play and trigger point therapy, with the end goal of a therapeutic massage being to assist the body to unwind the tension in the tissues, helping to restore the bodies natural balance, alignment, length, and ease of movement.


Relaxation Massage

Relaxation massage is a type of massage that focuses on using  flowing and gentle massage techniques to help release tension in the superficial tissues of the body, while initiating a calming effect on the central nervous system.

Relaxation massage may be recommended for:

  • Reducing high levels of stress or tension

  • Decreasing pain in acute or chronic conditions such as Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, headaches, depression

  • Decreased recuperation time from injuries or surgery

Relaxation massage may also assist in increasing circulation, relieve minor muscle pain, increase range of motion and promote overall relaxation


Pre & Post Natal Massage

Pre & Post Natal massage is a safe and effective way to reduce the discomforts both during and following pregnancy. Pre & Post Natal massage can assist with:

  • Headaches

  • Muscle stiffness

  • Backaches

  • Lower leg cramping

  • Fatigue & swelling.

Pre & Post Natal massage may assist to increase circulation and works to relax the body’s central nervous system, promoting better sleep and overall relaxation.


Cupping Massage

Cupping massage is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist applies special cups to the skin to create suction. The suction and negative pressure provided by the cups can have many benefits to the body including:

  • May assist to loosen muscle and fascia

  • May encourage blood flow

  • May assist in calming the nervous system for to improve relaxation and promote wellbeing

Cupping massage can have many therapeutic benefits as it can help draw energy (Qi) and blood flow to areas of the body that may be experiencing inflammation, tissue stagnation and decreased blood and lymphatic flow

The utmost care is taken to provide clients with the safest and most comfortable environment possible. Disinfection and sanitization procedures are strictly upheld to ensure both client and therapist safety at all times.

In an attempt to recognize and respect each individual clients comfort level, masks are currently optional, but encouraged.
