SHARON Whitman

Born and raised in Far North Queensland, Australia, Sharon has been calling Jasper her second home (living between both) since 1999. Sharon loves life…All of it.  Her passions are her family, travelling, gardening and healing. And when time permits she can be seen frolicking through the forests of Jasper talking to the trees!!

There’s a deeply strong practical side to Sharon.  Her formal training reaches beyond the world of Remedial Massage, to include certification in, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Chinese Acupressure, Myofascial Release, and Reiki.  Her occupational history in Australia included training in aromatherapy, nutrition, dietary supplements, wound care, sport injury rehabilitation and basic pharmaceutical knowledge.

But like all good Yin and Yang.  Sharon is deeply spiritual and loves to marry both the practical and the magic.  An Intuitive Medium, Sharon uses the formal tools of Reiki, Spiritual Response Therapy and Tarot to allow us to heal and develop awareness of our Emotional and Spiritual Bodies.

Mireille-Fortier-Portrait.jpg

MIREILLE FORTIER

Born and raised in Québec, Mireille traveled and lived in a few different countries before choosing the Canadian Rockies as her home!

Mireille chose massage therapy in 2003 and has loved it ever since. With her initial training in sports massage, she worked on the road with various road cycling teams, attending as many sports events as possible and gaining extensive experience along the way, all the while learning to look at a person as a whole -body and mind.

Fast forward to more recently, Mireille’s great interest is how to connect pain, science and massage. She loves exploring the great possibilities that the nervous system is hiding, from managing chronic pain to reducing daily stress levels. She believes that every treatment should be personalized, and uses techniques such as Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Myo-fascial Release, Strain-Counterstrain , joint play and more. She strongly believes that massage should not be painful and that educating her clients is a key to a successful treatment.

Passionate about the outdoors, Mireille is excited to be treating and playing in Jasper, as it offers everything she is looking for in a playground, from incredible heights and space to magnificent rivers and amazing people to share it all with.
